Is anybody bothered about you? Does anybody care?
In Ephesians 4-13, Paul is expanding on the fact that we have been blessed with EVERY blessing (v3). If you thought that statement was outrageous, then they only keep getting bigger!
He chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him.
(Ephesians 1:4 ESV)
This is a huge statement!
What was God doing before creation? At least one thing He was doing was choosing you. That this occurs before creation shows that it can not be dependent on anything we have done. Paul is not praising God because some people believed in a higher power and managed to live a decent life that kept ‘it’ happy. He’s praising God because, despite my sin, God chose to pursue me.

He knows what you have done, and will do, and he has still chosen to make you blameless. You will be made perfect
There are a thousand memes telling you you’re special, which presumably exist because we have a need to feel special. Hear this: You are precious. Not because somebody tagged you in a post with a picture of a sunset, but because you were chosen by God before the creation of the world to be made like Him.
