Hebrews Two - Upside Down Glory

God is bringing us, his sons and daughters, into glory - into the position we were made for.
How does he do that? By suffering.

We are made glorious not because we’ve conquered the world and won at life, we are made glorious because our champion went out and won for us. He wins through losing. He brings glory through suffering. This is the upside down way that God’s kingdom works.

God’s glory looks nothing like the world’s glory. It’s better. It’s a glory of self-sacrificing love.
When we are confused or discouraged by the world around us, when we feel weak, powerless and unglorious - we should look at Jesus and remember that through his life and death he is bringing us into his glory. It might not look like we expect, but it’s better.

In bringing many sons and daughters to glory, it was fitting that God, for whom and through whom everything exists, should make the pioneer of their salvation perfect through what he suffered. Hebrews 2:10
